Using Props to Support Your Body in Hanumanasana (Split)

There are so many great ways to use props! One of the reasons I love using props is to make yoga poses accessible to my body. It also allows you to explore different sensations and experiences in the body.

Here is an example of me using props to support my body in Hanumanasana (splits).

In this picture, I have stacked the following props:

  1. Yoga mat on the bottom
  2. Four yoga blocks all on the lowest height, pushed together into a firm base
  3. Rectangular Bolster
  4. Small meditation pillow on top

As you begin to practice with props, you can explore which props are most suited for your body. For example, in practicing Hanumanasana, you can add more props or less props depending on your support needs.
